Get help from the Forestry Services company to get grants for native woodland planting. The Native woodland scheme is aimed at protecting and expanding Irelands native woodland resource and associated biodiversity.
Naive woodlands are usually described as woodlands in which native tree, shrub, and herb species dominate. The scheme is divided into two elements
Conservation: Supports the protection and enhancement of existing native woodlands and where appropriate, the conversion of conifers forests to native woodlands. The scheme includes a conservation grant for all work carried out and also premiums for up to 7 years. Link to PDF
Establishment: which provides funding for the establishment of new native woodlands on open greenfield sites through planting or natural regeneration. This includes the establishment grant, which covers all costs associated with planting, and premiums for 15 years. Link to PDF
