Rowan or Mountain Ash (Sorbus aucuparia). Native in Ireland with grey stems, pinnate leaves with 14 or so leaflets on either side of a common stalk. White flowers in late spring are succeeded by red fruits. Clusters of red fruits are noticeable in autumn and winter and are often eaten by birds. Source: Dr Mary Forrest, UCD.
